In December 2006, the establishment of the “Indexation and classification” research unit of the Production Systems Department, now the Department of Engineering, ICT and Energy and Transport Technologies of the CNR, was approved at the Documentation Laboratory.
In December 2012 the same becomes an Operational Unit of the Institute of Informatics and Telematics of Pisa.
